Poland’s Play Mobile Operator Completes Implementation of CALLUP’s Remote SIM Card Management System
Rosh Haayin, Israel, January 13, 2016. CALLUP, a provider of Value Added Services (VAS) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for the telecom industry, today announced that Play (P4), Poland's fastest growing mobile communication service provider, has successfully completed implementation of CALLUP’s remote SIM cards management system – SIM OTA.
With more than 13.5 million subscribers, Play uses CALLUP’s SIM OTA platform to control and manage the entire life cycle of its SIM cards remotely – from activation of new accounts, through various upgrades and roaming updates, to SIM card cancellation and swap. SIM OTA comprises various advanced features and capabilities, such as secure Remote File Management, Remote Applet Management and other remote, over-the-air SIM operations.
“As a very fast growing mobile operator we needed a system that would support our growth and manage our millions of SIM cards in the most reliable way. After examining various solutions we decided to select CALLUP’s SIM OTA for its reliability and advanced features, coupled with CALLUP’s experience and openness for system development,” said, Andrzej Milkowski, Network Planning Director at Play. “We are satisfied with CALLUP’s SIM OTA system, and it helps us enhance our customer services and effectiveness.”
"Play’s selection of SIM OTA is testament to the proven track record of this system, which is gaining increasing popularity among mobile operators worldwide,” said Alon Roth, CALLUP’s CEO. “We are committed to providing mobile operators with the best solutions, at the forefront of technology, enabling them to meet their needs and challenges. This contract further positions CALLUP as a key challenger of value added services to the cellular industry.”
SIM OTA includes a smart campaign management system that enables updating parameters remotely on all of the operator's SIM cards. The system will automatically repeat the update process on SIM cards that could not accept the original update due to various reasons, such as devices that were turned off or subscribers who were in roaming.
Using SIM OTA, operators can create dynamic distribution lists based on various criteria, such as file types and actual content. The distribution lists enable the operators to update specific groups of cards according to the pre-defined parameters. In addition, it includes an automatic report subscription system, enabling the operator’s executives and technical professionals to subscribe to system reports and receive them directly to their email.
